Description

By the 1990s, his name was known everywhere. His level of fame surpassed that of any idol.

It was Mikhail Gorbachev who demolished the "Iron Curtain" between the East and the West. People began to perceive each other with understanding and respect. Mikhail Gorbachev was a legend of international significance. He left his mark on the world and did everything for peace. On August 30, 2022, he died in Moscow at the age of 91. He will forever remain in our hearts as a warm, kind and peace-loving person.

After an agreement between Gorbachev and Helmut Kohl, Shorokhov moved to Germany as one of the progressive Russian managers to study the principles of a market economy. This later laid the foundation for the “Poljot-International” brand. On the occasion of Gorbachev’s 70th birthday, Alexander Shorokhov and Mikhail Gorbachev created the first series of “Gorbachev” watches, which caused a great sensation and were soon sold out.

In 2025, the Poljot-International brand pays tribute to Mikhail Gorbachev for the third time with another continuation of the carefully designed Gorbi watch. The difference from previous models lies in the new case design, which now has a diameter of 42 mm and a height of 12.77 mm. The dial is rounded at the edge, which makes the case appear slimmer.

The new models also feature two beautiful colors: green and blue. Both colors would have been close to Mikhail Gorbachev and give this watch a special meaning.

The heart of the watch has also been redesigned: inside the new models beats the automatic movement NH36 from Seiko with 24 jewels, a date and day display at 3 o'clock and a 41-hour power reserve. With a strictly limited edition of only 100 pieces per model, these watches are not only a sought-after collector's item, but also a tribute to a historical figure and part of world history.
