Description
Legendary is a word that describes the Douglas DC-3. In the 1930s, it ruled the skies in luxury, gaining popularity among the elite, offering the best amenities and services money could buy.
A trip aboard was a highly anticipated affair, and every flight had an air of elegant exclusivity that is lost in today's fast-paced routine. In all its ways, the Douglas DC-3 gave the world a more refined perspective on travel, thus defining the golden age of aviation.
That same spirit of vintage sophistication fueled the inspiration for the AVIATOR Douglas Day-Date 41 watch and was our muse to revive another golden era in watchmaking history.

Luxurious patterned dial
The dial of the AVIATOR Douglas Day Date 41 features a subtle 3D pattern with volumetric markers and an elegantly curved day indicator. With visibility and legibility being key attributes, the Douglas Day Date 41 collection combines design and functionality in the Art Deco style – from the bold, highly polished Roman numerals to the two raised instrument rings with cockpit-inspired luminescent indexes. With deep and subtle grooves, the dial pattern creates stunning color reflections reminiscent of a metallic silk effect, symbolizing timeless sophistication.

Polished to perfection
The case is made up of three symmetrical parts: bezel, body, back cover. Its rounded curves are hand-finished with fine watchmaking techniques and are inspired by the graceful sophistication of the Douglas aircraft fuselage. Its stunning mirror-polished surfaces are streamlined with ergonomically smooth lines. And its curved lugs exemplify the elegance of yesteryear while ensuring a proper fit on any wrist. Since each AVIATOR case is the result of highly precise construction and ergonomics, you get well-designed case proportions and dimensions in harmony with all the other elements of the watch.

Meet the new AVIATOR AV-1000 caliber
At the heart of this watch is the latest AV-1000 AVIATOR caliber based on the Sellita SW 240-2, the most famous Swiss-made mechanical movement. The AV-1000 caliber is created by combining advanced technology and aesthetics. With functionality at its heart, the movement is equipped with a day of the week and date display. Not to mention, the Incabloc system perfectly protects the movement from shocks. Meanwhile, the oversized and beautifully crafted rotor copies the dial pattern to maintain the art-deco style on both the front and back of the watch.
