Description
With the “Revolution” watch, Alexander Shorokhov wanted to demonstrate his talent as an engineer by bringing more art and more “Avantgarde” to his design. At the same time, he expressed his vision of the future. Moreover, this new model was intended to create a certain contrast to current watch models.
With a large 43.5 mm case, Alexander Shorokhov creates space for the movement and dial, thus providing space for his revolutionary imagination. Continuing in the direction of avant-garde art, he fills the free space with geometric elements such as the square, pyramid and sphere, as well as small parts of the movement such as springs and wheels. These parts literally float in the open space of the case, which seems to be pierced by metal rods. A small enamelled bridge in the middle connects the watch to the space that otherwise remains free and transparent.
The inner edge of the case and the outer edge of the small dial resemble technical wheels. The aim was to create a sense of industrialization and fundamental change in people's lives. Big industry and the delicate mechanism of the watch come together perfectly. Both aspects are symbolic of the watches from the Avantgarde collection by Alexander Shorokhoff – they connect the unconnectable. In this way, space is created for reflection, contemplation and philosophizing. This is what makes this watch so interesting and exciting, a real eye-catcher.
The avant-garde dial with its various shapes and colors fits perfectly into the family of its predecessors “Miss Avantgarde”, “Plus-Minus” and “Kandy Avantgarde”. The case back is enameled with additional information about the watch.
