Description
In 2019, Alexander Shorokhov sketched the new model “NEVA” during a business trip to St. Petersburg. He was inspired by the mighty and most watery European river, the Neva.
This 74 km long river in Russia flows from Lake Ladoga to the Neva Bay of the Baltic Sea, passing through St. Petersburg. The city, with its 340 bridges and magnificent palaces, is called the "Venice of the North."
This inspiration led to the wavy guilloche dial. This pattern is carried over to the upper smaller dial, which features embossed hour markers. The lower dial bears the “Alexander Shorokhoff” logo, minute and second markers. The dial is simple yet beautiful. The small curved second hand is shaped like the letter “N”, which refers to the watch’s name as well as the grandeur of the city with its curved shape.
The blue hands create the necessary contrast against the cool silver look of the dial, making it easier to read the time. In this color combination, the model seems a little colder, but the wavy guilloche dial balances this feeling. This turns the watch into a harmonious work of art. The case is available in two different finishes: in cool stainless steel and in a blue shade. The stainless steel case is complemented by an original crocodile leather strap in a light blue water shade.
The style is consistently maintained, every element of the watch has been meticulously thought out. The version with blue IP coating is complemented by a white strap, which gives it an emotional touch saturated with blue-white contrasts.
