Description

Alexander Shorokhoff first used miniature painting on the "Daffodils" and "Bouquet" models, creating a stunning, typically feminine watch. Dear ladies, you no longer have to receive bouquets. You will always have one beautiful, always blooming bouquet of meadow flowers on your hand. A bouquet that will never wither and will always fill you with joy. The bouquet is resplendent with all the colors of a blooming meadow, and even a butterfly was fooled and landed on the flower. Thanks to the appropriate choice of colors, the bouquet radiates warmth and joy.

Miniature painting requires exceptionally sharp eyes and skillful hands. To create one miniature, the painter spends an average of 40 hours looking carefully through a magnifying glass. First, the artist selects the necessary color palette and prepares the paints. A special brush made of marten hair is used for a given type of painting. 10 to 20 such brushes are needed to complete the painting. First, the base color is evenly applied so that the pearlescent does not shimmer. Then other colors are mixed in to achieve the necessary gradation and subtle shades of colors.

Many very thin layers are applied, but the final thickness of the applied paint does not even reach five hundredths of a millimeter. The small work of art must be put into the oven several times to dry each layer of paint. It takes 30 to 60 minutes at a temperature of 100 °C to dry the paint. The finished work is then heat-treated in an oven for 5 hours. Then a thin layer of varnish is applied to the entire surface of the dial and allowed to dry in the oven for 24 hours.

Alexander Shorokhoff decided to place this small work of art in the avant-garde square case of the KANDY model series, giving it enough space to stand out in all its beauty. The caseback features four openings filled with multi-colored glass, through which the reliable ETA 2892 movement with its hand-engraved and refined rotor can be seen. However, the leading role here is played by the handmade artistic dial.
