Description
Around 660 BC, the Dorian Greeks founded a colony called Byzantium on the European shore of the Bosporus. It was from here that the history of this fascinating metropolis began, which is today the only city in the world connecting the European and Asian continents.
Today known as Istanbul, this metropolis combines Greek and Roman heritage, manifestations of Ottoman splendor, and preserves a wealth of precious jewels created in the Arab tradition.
The “Byzantium” model is a beautiful automatic watch created to honor the turbulent and fascinating history of the city of Istanbul, reflecting its immense diversity. Ornaments inspired by Arabic calligraphy are interpreted in a modern sense. The dial is divided into four sectors, surrounded by a meander - a motif from the art of ancient Greece.
In the center is a cross, reminiscent of the early Christian history of this modern metropolis. The hands are color-coordinated with the overall look of the watch, and the hour markers at 3, 6, 9 and 12 are decorated with high-quality diamonds.
